I’m an illustrator and designer at BUCK, based in Los Angeles. I work across illustration, branding, and motion.
The moment I pluck the strings of the Guzheng instrument, I become more attuned to details, sparking my creativity. The instrument’s delicate balance between precision and fluidity also mirrors my design process.
The strings and bridges of the Guzheng are like keyframes in motion, where every subtle adjustment and pluck creates a distinct effect. As my fingers glide across the strings, the music flows out, just like each stroke of my illustration—fluid and rich in detail. The resonance that follows each pluck is akin to the stories I tell through branding, Design for me is like composing music. I see myself as the conductor of the orchestra, coordinating the performance of motion, illustration and graphic design to play a harmonious visual melody.
