Amoeba Music is a record paradise for music lovers, celebrating the timeless charm of physical music.  With its vast vinyl collection, navigating the store can be overwhelming. To enhance the experience, I introduced the “Music Time Machine” concept, turning record browsing into a journey through time. By blending physical and digital experiences, this immersive strategy makes exploration more intuitive while deepening the connection between customers and music.

As a designer and illustrator, I aimed to infuse the UX/UI experience with the expressive energy of Amoeba Music’s personality. My goal was to create a system that extends beyond the physical record store, making it accessible to a global, multigenerational audience.

I chose a modern typeface and customized it for the tagline by adding a halftone texture, blending modern and nostalgic elements to match its meaning. Inspired by the time portal in the logo design, I also tilted some brand elements to add a sense of movement and dynamism.

I designed the logo with slanted typography and flowing curves to convey energy and motion. Inspired by vintage time machines, the central star symbolizes a glowing time portal, reflecting the journey through music’s past and future.

The posters capture both the brand’s atmosphere and key elements. I used vibrant colors to attract younger audiences and halftone effects to maintain Amoeba Music’s vintage appeal. I aim to create a “chaotic yet organized” feel, reflecting Amoeba Music’s vast but well-categorized vinyl collection and in-store experience.

I created an app for Amoeba Music customers to engage, both in store and anywhere in the world, helping them find rare vinyl or access collector tools. Blending modern and vintage aesthetics, it resonates across generations while staying true to Amoeba’s identity as a haven for rare vinyl records.

The App serves both new and longtime vinyl collectors. Curated recommendations help newcomers discover music, while seasoned collectors can easily search, purchase, and track orders. The Wishlist, membership perks, and a familiar browsing experience keep longtime customers engaged.

Considering Amoeba Music’s also focus on physical stores, I designed merchandise such as phone cases, T-shirts, and tote bags. These products enhance the in-store experience while boosting the brand’s presence on social media through user engagement.
